Teddy Bears Picnic
Event poster for Teddy Bears Picnic which is taking place in Winnipeg 2010. For this particular poster I went for the childish look. I had some bright colors such as the grass and sky. I just simply made a little boy with his little teddy bear having a picnic together. The font also has a childish look to it which goes well with the picture.

Folklorama
An event poster for another 2010 event, Folklorama. It was difficult trying to think what kind of tradition to use knowing tradition is the theme of Folklorama. In the end I decided I would do Chinese kung fu :) The man in the picture is actually Jet Li. I just traced the position of his body and replaced his original clothing with a Chinese martial arts Robe. The image behind him is Chinese writing meaning "Blood & Guts" which goes well with it. I gave it a paint brush look to suit the asian style.
Festival du Voyageur
An event poster for an upcoming event in 2010, Festival du Voyageur. I really love this poster ;) Im surprised that it worked out this well. I added some snow, snow flakes, and icicles at the top and it turned out amazing. I made the logo simple, just a single snowflake, which didn't take too long to create. This base of the drawing was made in Adobe Illustrator, I then brought it into Photoshop for some gradient effects and lighting. I hope you enjoy this as well.
Mixed Martial Arts Back of the Shirt
This is the back of the T-Shirt that i designed. Mr. Blais gave us a quote that he wanted on the back. In my opinion, I think the quote is too long. He also gave us a logo for his name that we can use. Now, the spartan is supposed to be kneeling with his sword in the ground. His armor is shining as well in the picture. I went for a vector look for the graphic and it turned out pretty good :) I added a hint of red gradient as you can see, which gives the picture a good effect to it. To be honest, it took quite a while to think of a design for this part of the project. I find this to be just as intense as the front of the shirt.
Mixed Martial Arts T-Shirt design
A T-Shirt design for a Mixed Martial Arts Event. The color theme was green so I used a more dark green for more intensity and the overall theme were spartans. I drew a huge muscular guy with a lot of ferocity and gave him a spartan helmet. He sort of looks like Hulk :p The font, however, doesn't quite suit the theme "spartan" I just threw it in there and that was the main reason my design wasn't chosen in the contest.

Bud Spud & Steak
This was for a Football Fundraiser. This, too, was fun. The buildings in the image are actually from downtown Winnipeg. I played around with the flames a bit, before I had the logo in front of the buildings but it seemed like the city was on fire... Its pretty simple to make the fire, just made a base shape then copy multiple images of it with different size, opacity and color.
ASCD Logos
The following logos were made for the ASCD Manitoba company. They wanted my graphics class to design a series of logos so that they can bring them all together and choose one final logo for their company. It must have been a hard decision because I know there were many entries. Unfortunately none of my logos were selected :( Anyways, my logos were all simple, maybe too simple for their liking. My personal favorite was the last one. Again, I was just playing around and creating my own graphic. Which logo do you like?
K.E.C. Logo Designs
I actually enjoyed creating these designs. I had about six designs that were made but end up choosing just three. The one logo at the top left corner was, really, the very first one created. When I was working on it I aimed for the graffiti style of design. As you can see, the font selection in all the logos were all graffiti based. I love the middle logo the most. It's so complex and different. I played around a bit and came up with the nice swirly type shapes. It really catches peoples eyes when they look at it.As for the font, its strong and bold making it more clear. The last logo was made from the base of the first one, just altered. Its font is more of an actual graffiti type than the first.
